Regulatory Information
FD&C Blue No. 1 is a FDA-approved color additive and is subject to batch certification. It may be safely used for coloring externally applied cosmetics, including cosmetics intended for use in the area of the eye, in amounts consistent with good manufacturing practice. Batch certification means that this product has been certified batch by batch by the FDA. When we open such a FDA-certified package and repack it for you into smaller sizes, the repacked containers lose their certification. For this reason, you are not permitted by the FDA to use repacked certified color additives for producing cosmetics for resale. Please contact us if you need batch certified colors (they are available only in larger sizes).
